From the company’s original head office in Verona, Italy, where it was founded by Dante Ferroli in 1955, Ferroli now operates in 14 countries across Europe and Asia. It remains a family business with a strong commitment to design innovation, build quality and carbon reduction firmly at its heart. The UK operation began in the mid-1980s when the UK export market was identified as being a promising one and a company was formed using the rather un-Italian name Brassware Sales to promote Ferroli boilers. Two years of continued success proved that the UK market was a viable one and the Brassware name was dropped to create an established Ferroli operation in Minworth, West Midlands. By keeping a very keen eye on what the market demanded and ensuring that it kept pace with its competitors, the company swiftly expanded until the Minworth premises became too small and it relocated to the current site in Burton-upon-Trent, Staffordshire. By this stage, Ferroli had identified its key aim as being to supply the UK independents market and this remains a major focus of the company’s operations today.
